Our Approach

Our Story

My Story

Friends and colleagues have called me "The Mayor," even though I've never ran for political office in my life. People swear they can't take me anywhere without running into someone I know. It's a gift. I suppose.

So, what can I do for you or your business? I specialize in developing business relationships and turning strategy into action. I look for ways to connect the dots that make sense and build strong foundations for growth. I write a lovely bit of copy and amazingly clever out of office emails.

I started out as a designer, and as I've gone along, I added writer, marketer, social media strategist, and videographer to my list of job skills. I'm a big picture thinker with a background of hands on tactical talent.

My professional experience includes communications positions for Optical Cable Corporation, ITT Corporation and The Roanoke Times. Most recently, I worked with a variety of clients as a Strategic Communications Account Executive with ndp.

I've been recognized a few times with awards from the WV and VA Press Associations and the American Advertising Federation, including a national award from AAF for public service. That was awesome. I also received an award for a PSA I created for the United Nations Global Climate Change Conference in 2015 in Paris, France. That was even more awesome. You can see it on my YouTube or Vimeo channels. I was named class Valedictorian and Advanced Achiever of the Masters of Arts Public Relations program at Full Sail University. In 2018 I was named "Advertising Person of the Year" by the Roanoke Chapter of the American Advertising Federation. And somewhere along the way, I gained certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Right brain, meet left brain.

I'm pretty big on both personal and corporate social responsibility, having served on many community boards. I once was honored to lead a group of 75 executives through an all day community service project at the Katrina-damaged Thurgood Marshall School in New Orleans, I still consider that one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I've also chaired AAF Roanokeā€™s public service initiative for three years, helping 45 area nonprofits gain almost a million dollars in advertising services at no cost. We all gotta give back, you know?
